Dogs and Cats Rule was conceived and opened in Sept 2001 and was originally called Reigning Dogs & Cats, operating under that name until Aug 2006.

From day one, this has been a family-run business started by George Parente, and later joined by his sister, JoAnn.  Our second location was opened June 2005 at the Hopewell Crossing Center in Pennington, NJ continuing a business based on basic family values and qualities to fulfill the needs of pets and their people.

Since 1920, the Parente family has been in the food industry, always following the philosophy of providing the very best products and customer services at the very best value available to its customers.

When Dogs & Cats Rule was conceived in Newtown at the turn of the millennium, it was decided that our pets deserve to enjoy the most natural, safe and well-made products that are available. With this philosophy intact,
Dogs & Cats Rule has evolved into the leader in this area being on the cutting-edge when it comes to natural foods and pet supplies.
